We are relaunching and revamping our monthly top buys series, now explicitly ranking our top Buy-rated stocks against each other. The main purpose of this ranking is to sharpen our focus on each investment case and to provide a clear comparison of their relative qualitative merits.

The rankings themselves are by nature subjective, and our style is in general “quality”-focused, more included to accept higher valuation for good franchises and to avoid businesses with structural risks.

For our first edition, we are publishing descriptions of each of our top 15, broken into 3 sets of 5 stocks over the coming days. In subsequent months, we will include any updates to our list and discuss the reasons other Buy-rated stocks have not made the cut.

Our first five picks are all high-quality businesses, appropriate for a concentrated portfolio.
