Introduction: AT&T CEO John Stankey appeared at an investor conference (with Goldman Sachs) on Tuesday (September 21), and shared an aggressive vision for AT&T’s fiber business.

2025 Target of 30m Households Will “Probably” Change

Stankey stated that the current target to cover 30m households in 2025 is not a "magic number", and management will "probably" change it. He further stated that “the only thing that stands in the way between ... 30m and doing more is (AT&T’s) execution and performance"; a positive investor reaction is also likely a prerequisite - Stankey would also like AT&T’s "investment base to recognise the good work we have been doing":
